Troy Doherty is part of the EPIC: The Musical Cast, and the voice of Hermes.

Biography[]

Troy Doherty is an actor, director, singer, songwriter, musician, and voice actor, best known for portraying Clayton Swain in TNT's The Last Ship. Raised in Wall Township, NJ, he began his theater career at 11 and later appeared in TV shows like Criminal Minds and films such as Hachi: A Dog’s Tale. Aside from EPIC, he releases music under the name TROY, including his EP Calvin Court.

  • Troy also practices parkour.
  • Troy auditioned for EPIC because he kept getting tagged by Jorge's mother, Wanda Herrans.[1]
  • He travels often, splitting time between Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New Jersey.
  • When he was younger, Troy was in an episode of Victorious, "Hambone King," where he portrayed the role of Jarold Ardbeg.
  • When he was auditioning for Nick Studio 10, Troy and Noah Grossman, his long time friend and a member of Smosh, had to recreate The Butter Dance.[2]
  • He starred as Hermes in the miniseries Hermes (and Jay) to promote The Circe Saga and The Vengeance Saga.
    • Additionally, Troy often plays Hermes on his social media accounts.
